a brand redesign for The North Face
This project looked at the different classifications of brand elements. I explored five different logos configurations for my redesign of The North Face. The different types of logos I created are a wordmark, letterform, emblem, pictorial, and abstract interpretation. I wanted to keep the simple and clean appearance of the current logo, but find a way to refresh it and make it feel more contemporary. I kept in mind things such as the target audience of the brand and where these logos might show up. Redesigning five different logos for The North Face was challenging at first because the only logo the company currently uses is a wordmark. However, I found a way to break apart design elements and use them in different ways that would still represent the brand well.
